Short Circuit
Short Circuit – Spaces for Art
The Centro Colombo Americano of Pereira has forged an agreement with the Alianza Francesa, Comfamiliar Risaralda, the Fundación Universitaria del Area Andina, and the Institute of Culture – Carlos Drews Castro – to work together on a plan to rejuvenate the downtown area of Pereira where all of these are located. The five institutions likewise propose to rescue the culture content by offering citizens a special program presenting exhibitions of various art forms. This program, named Short Circuit, is presented as an alternative means of contributing to the social development of the city.
The second Friday of each month from 7 PM to 10 PM the five institutions open their display galleries for showing various forms of the plastic arts to the public. This event called SHORT CIRCUIT: Spaces for Art receives its name from the fact that the five institutions are only a short distance apart so that the public can visit all the exhibitions in a short time.
