• La Cuadra – Open Workshops

La Cuadra was created in 2000 by a group of artists and the Centro Colombo Americano.  It is based on the idea of cultural diffusion through mass accessibility by using open spaces – in local streets or artist workshops – to offer artworks several non-traditional environments for display.

La Cuadra offers simultaneously four art exhibitions, concerts, poetry recitals, book launchings, conferences, and many other cultural activities.

The expositions and other activities take place in workshops of Jesús Calle and Javier García, the main branch of the Centro Colombo Americano, and the Association Cultural Roots.  The concerts are presented in the street.

La Cuadra conserves its memories and accomplishments in a printed publication and in a CD.
